Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 April 2026
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and WePredict ("WePredict", "we", "us", or "our"), the operator of wepredict.org (the "Platform"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old, legally able to form a binding contract under the law of your jurisdiction, and not barred from participating in services like ours under any applicable law. You are responsible for determining whether your use of the Platform is lawful where you are located. We may refuse access, suspend, or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe do not meet these conditions.
3. Account Registration and Security
You may create an account using a verified email address and mobile number, or through supported third-party sign-in providers. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration and to keep that information up to date. You must keep your password confidential and not share verification codes (one-time passwords) with anyone. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Each individual may operate only one account. Creating, controlling, or coordinating multiple accounts is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate suspension and forfeiture of any Mu balance.
4. Mu — Attention Currency
Mu is an in-platform unit of attention used to record predictions, signal conviction, and rank participants. Mu is not legal tender, has no monetary value, and is not redeemable for cash or any other property of value. You acknowledge that:
- Mu cannot be exchanged for currency, securities, goods, or services outside the Platform.
- Mu is not transferable to other users except as the Platform's features explicitly allow.
- Balances may be granted, debited, frozen, or revoked in accordance with these Terms or our enforcement actions.
- The Platform is not a gambling, betting, lottery, or financial-services operator, and predictions made using Mu do not constitute wagers, investments, or financial transactions.
5. Markets and Predictions
The Platform hosts prediction markets — questions about real-world events with binary (Yes / No) outcomes. You may participate by creating a position or placing a prediction in a market. Participation is voluntary and you must rely solely on your own judgement. Past performance of any market or participant is not indicative of future results.
Markets may operate under different mechanisms (continuous trading, pari-mutuel pools, or others). The mechanism applicable to a given market is shown on its detail page at the time of participation. You agree that you have read and understood the mechanism before participating.
6. Resolution, Voids, and Disputes
Each market resolves to either Yes or No based on a stated resolution criterion, or it is voided. Resolution decisions are made by the Platform's curators or administrators in good faith and are final. Without limiting the foregoing, a market may be voided where the underlying event does not occur as contemplated, where the resolution criterion becomes ambiguous, where there is reasonable evidence of manipulation, or for any other reason in our sole discretion.
Voided markets generally return staked Mu to participants according to the rules of the applicable mechanism. You may flag a resolution you believe is incorrect through the in-product reporting tools, but the Platform's decision following any review is conclusive.
7. User-Generated Content
You may submit comments, market suggestions, poll questions, circle (community) descriptions, and other content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, display, reproduce, modify, distribute, and use the User Content for the purpose of operating, providing, and improving the Platform, and for moderation, marketing, and legal-compliance purposes.
You represent and warrant that (a) you own or have the necessary rights to submit your User Content, (b) the User Content does not infringe any third party's intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights, and (c) the User Content complies with these Terms and our Community Guidelines. We may remove, hide, or refuse User Content at our discretion, with or without notice.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Manipulate market outcomes, prices, or resolutions, including through coordinated activity or self-trading.
- Operate more than one account, or assist any other person in doing so.
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools other than via official documented Platform interfaces.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or models from the Platform.
- Harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate any person, or post content that is obscene, hateful, or unlawful.
- Upload viruses, malware, or otherwise interfere with the security or operation of the Platform.
- Attempt to access any account, data, or system you are not authorised to access.
- Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
Breaches may result in warnings, muting, suspension, termination, forfeiture of Mu balance, and where appropriate referral to law-enforcement authorities.
9. Circles (Private Communities)
Users may create or join circles — private communities for predicting together. Circle administrators are responsible for the conduct of their circle, the questions they create, and the moderation of their members' activity. We are not responsible for circle-internal decisions and disputes between circle administrators and members. Circle content remains subject to these Terms and our Community Guidelines.
10. Federated Workspaces
The Platform may be made available under different brands operated by us or by authorised third-party operators (each, a "Workspace"). When you access the Platform via a Workspace, you agree to these Terms and to any additional terms specific to that Workspace which are presented to you. Workspaces operate independently for branding, market curation, and community moderation; balances and predictions in one Workspace do not transfer to another.
11. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its software, design, logos, trade marks, and all materials we provide (other than User Content), is owned by WePredict or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform strictly in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted by implication.
12. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time for any reason, including for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or manipulation, prolonged inactivity, or where we discontinue a feature. You may close your account at any time by following the in-product process or contacting us at info@wepredict.com. Termination does not relieve either party of obligations that, by their nature, are intended to survive.
13. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. By using the Platform you agree to that policy.
14. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or availability. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any market resolution will be reached within a particular time. Predictions and market prices on the Platform are not financial, investment, legal, or professional advice. See also our Disclaimer and Responsible Use page.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WePredict and its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one thousand Indian Rupees (INR 1,000). Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WePredict and our officers, employees, and agents from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from (a) your use of the Platform, (b) your User Content, (c) your breach of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or by an in-product notice and will take effect on the date stated in the notice (and in any event no earlier than seven days after notice). Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform.
18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, except where mandatory local law confers exclusive jurisdiction on a different forum.
19. General
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce a right or provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any policies referenced in them, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform and supersede any prior agreement.
